😭stupid literature, making me feel things

I was not prepared for how much of this book is about spreadsheets.

To be clear, i flipping love spreadsheets

I was surprised at how upsetting this book was - not because of the narrator’s perspective and logic, but because of how awful most of the people around him were. And of course no one is perfect, but… i hate that i still have to be grateful that his parents love him and want him. I want so much more for him.

This has grabbed me and is pulling me along. It’s good.

I read this entire book in the last 24 hours. these continue delightfully.

Omg, this is so silly and weird, and romance-y but not quite, and i am not even sure i like the main character (she is so YOUNG) . I think i will probably read book 2

So far a useful inventory of emotions- but i wish every chapter had more examples and techniques for coping. Holding out hope for a huge bibliography

It is very Jasper Fforde to take an idea that is on the surface ludicrous, and make it “real” where i care about the characters, and the logic of the world holds together, and terrible and beautiful and funny things happen

Look, the romance part is cute and all, but i bawled about the first woman president being a democrat from Texas. Fully caught up in the reelection drama too.

Real lack of likable characters problem

I loved it! It made me laugh a lot and even a little 😢 at the end

What a delightful book to read right before a trip to New York City!
