In the hushed aftermath of a total eclipse, Laura witnesses a brutal attack. She and her boyfriend Kit call the police, and in that moment, it is not only the victim's life that is changed forever. Fifteen years on, Laura and Kit live in fear. And while Laura knows she was right to speak out, the events that follow have taught her that you can never see the whole picture: something - and someone - is always in the dark.

This is what I wanted Girl on the train to be. Crisp writing, ability to transport the reader seamlessly into the story-almost King like, and brilliant intertwining between the thriller and solar eclipse.
I initially downloaded the free 10 chapter from Amazon, but once I finished it I couldn't wait until April 17th. I was lucky to get it through Netgalley and devoured it in two mornings.
I do not like to summarize or spoil the story but have to say the story is multi-layered, almost literary in analysis of human emotions and the driving force behind some of our sinister actions.
The anxiety factor was something I could directly relate to, having been through anxiety attacks, which was brilliantly injected to the story making you feel for the characters.
Fantastic book.
