Quite interesting book (I am a Beevor avid reader); historically for sure. Brutality is incredible - no ideology backing on both sides and a swirl of other nations impacted by Russia as today. And one more tale of British military involvment!

Great Story, Difficult Read
3 stars
Three star: even if I am in the space business, I found that sometimes technical details where too long sometimes and too difficult to visualize; also the plotline is ambitiously and engaging, but sometimes a little bit too American Movies style if you know what I mean (for example that the destiny of all humanities was unbelievably all tied to people in the space station at that particular time...).

Well written and a good read on a business trip - looking forward looking at her other books and Lucy's stories

Poetic, but not easy to concentrate
3 stars
A beautiful written book, and clearly a lot of research has gone into making it science based. I just found a little bit hard to wade through given that there is no real story, aside the intimate portrait of the astronauts - this is probably more a reflection of my reader skills instead of the author!

La Storia and ordinary people (and two dogs)
4 stars
Not an easy ready at all, aside for the number of pages, for the type of Italian language of 1974 and some dialect thrown in. But a great book, with La Storia effect on ordinary poor people and also two dogs (especially Bella - turns out one of the main characters for me)

Un bel romanzo sulla mia citta'
4 stars

Did not get the irony at all
2 stars
Not because the scenario is impossible or the issue not to be discussed, but I remember mostly sex scenes and misogynist attitude from the main character which seem to justify the end point. Probably did not get the irony,
