The Wake (Sandman, Book 10) (1999, Vertigo) 5 stars

Review of 'The Wake (Sandman, Book 10)' on 'Goodreads'

5 stars

It's hard to say if I liked this volume (the last) or the first volume best. The artwork in "The Wake" was by far my favorite.

As usual, this was expertly written. I would expect nothing less of Neil Gaiman. The story was a very fitting end to the Sandman series. It was heart-wrenching (despite the major foreshadowing in "World's End") and beautiful.

It really brought all the stories full circle and wrapped them op nicely. Delirium had some beautiful things things to say, as did Mathew.

I don't know how else to describe it without ruining the plot. It was simply a lovely story.
