aro / ace manga!
Reviews and Comments
I like urban fantasy and other fantasy and sci-fi, but finding ones with bi and/or trans characters and aimed at adults is a bit difficult! I'm slowly trying to get back into manga as well.

I've read it in German but will write the review in English: Since 10 years ago, cis men in the world of this manga are capable of getting pregnant as well, though at a lower possibility rate than women. Each chapter deals with a different men and women affected by this. It starts with the workaholic Kentaro Hiyama who accidentally becomes pregnant and has to deal with the consequences.
I really enjoyed reading this manga! I was pleasantly surprised about how it deals a lot with discrimination and also sexism. The pregnant men face obstacles for being a rare phenomenon and can experience discrimination for being seen as less masculine. But it also deals a lot with obstacles for pregnant people in general. In every chapter we see a different perspective on the topic. E.g. one is from the perspective of a woman who already was pregnant in the past and now her husband is pregnant and he expects more support from her than he had given her during her pregnancy. But the stories all end on a positive note.
Kudos to the publisher of the German version Tokyopop, who added to the summary text that it is about cis men. (Because otherwise I would have expected it's about trans men. But the manga doesn't mention trans people at all.) And Tokyopop also added a short text at the beginning explaining the word cis to people unfamiliar to the word, and explaining how the manga does not mention trans people and stuff.
