This book was enjoyable and I'll probably re-read it at some point. The obvious comparisons to make are with [b:The Martian|18007564|The Martian|Andy Weir|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1413706054s/18007564.jpg|21825181] and with [b:The Moon is a Harsh Mistress|16690|The Moon is a Harsh Mistress|Robert A. Heinlein|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1348768309s/16690.jpg|1048525]. If you like Mark Watney in The Martian, you'll probably like Jasmine in this book, despite some problematic moments. If you like MIAHM for shady stuff happening on the moon, you'll probably like this book. Replace 'penal colony' with 'company owned resource extraction station' though.

I don't mind characters making poor choices. I do have a slight problem with characters making poor choices, being aware that they're making poor choices, and constantly harping on the fact that they're currently in the process of making poor choices, especially when it is not quite clear if the narration POV is a current stream of consciousness or if it is Jazz telling the story after …
