Fantastic, Funny and Thinky!

5 stars

Poison For Breakfast is a very interesting, surprisingly funny, philosophical-as-advertised story. it purports to tell the true tale of what happened the day the author found a note saying "You had poison for breakfast", and it's very believable, until you remember that Lemony Snicket is not just a pseudonym but also a character in A Series Of Unfortunate Events. but Poison For Breakfast did manage to remind me what I like about philosophy ... which is honestly pretty hard to describe, and there's a cat demanding my attention, so, thanks for reading! check this book out!

3.5 stars

It's a 3.5 for me because the entire book reads like a long, meandering sentence. Nothing against sentences like that but I'm bad at them. I always forget what was said at the beginning by the time the sentence reaches its conclusion.

It's a book of thoughts disguised as a mystery book for which along the way there will be a lot of bewilderment, as the author intended. Regardless, it gave me much to think about.
